Harar City

The Harar city was founded in the 7th century reaching its climax in the 16th century as the capital city of the Adal Muslim state. Harar is a place where diversified tourist attractions are situated with in a small area of land.

The wall of Harar (Jugal)

Jugal, one of the eight world heritages of Ethiopia was built in the 16th for defensive reason against external conquest of the enemy.

The twelve feet high and five entrance gates of the wall has total circumference of 3334 meters.

The French poet, the Arthur Rimbaud collection center, the 82 mosques clustered in the precinct of the Jugal wall, the Hyena feeding tradition, the Muslim and Christian markets are some out of many sites to be mentioned.
